Nice. THAT WILL Go A Long Way In NEGOTIATIONS. Especially if it's lit up like a Christmas tree.

03 was nice cosmetically but had a couple issues.

cylinder 5 and 8 misfire(probably a bad coil) Needs that plus wires/new plugs(has new wires on the left side).
3 amigos with 4 wheel sensors that are reading low.
Ac was cold but blower left more to be desired(remove/clean/oil/replace with used)

Rims were ugly but could be sold and I could buy 16's for a disco with good tires for half of the value of those ugly 20" rims. Positive in my eyes

The flip out tv headunit thing was actually nice and consider it a positive.. the screen hides away when not in use and is setup for ipod use/bluetooth/navigation.

Not a spec of rust anywhere(was a welcome sight).

Asking price is 4500 and after a talk they probably realize 3-3500 is more in line. Not sure if he is prepared to take that or if I am ready to pay it.

Still needs CDL swap

On the fence here at the moment.

I would agree with the 3-3500, Especially if it is clean. Definitely ditch the ghetto wheels. I would stress the abs.. it seems to plague discovery 2s.

I walked away.. Could have gotten it for 2800 but have 10 days off where sharing a car isn't a problem right now. Also my house is selling at the end of the month which makes things much more comfortable financially(its fine either way).

Risk in hoping something good/new will come up in 10-20 days. I keep telling myself I work less than 5 miles from home and could just ride my road bike in but its getting warmer.

I may open back up to a cheap 97-98 DI or 99-01 DII... What I sacrifice in power can be made up with a small lift, all terrains, terrafirma bumper and winch.. that more than makes up for it in my eyes. of course thats a couple thousand dollars in extras so it would have to be a steal of a deal.

Even if I find the perfect 04 for the right price those mods will come just maybe a bit slower.

Potential new canidate.

03/blue/138k/se7

Pros
Good overall condition
No engine CEL or issues(no leaks to be found)
Price
Nitto Grappler All terrains(save me some money on AT's)
No rust

Cons
Hackjob exhaust. Basically the tip doesn't exit the back and runs about halfway or 3/4 underneath. I cant tell if they did away with the cats or not(didn't take a picture).. Its loud, annoying and possibly illegal. I think I would take it to a muffler shop and run the tip out the back and keep the cat removed until it becomes an issue. I live in florida and since we don't have inspections it doesn't matter but I am moving soon and a decent chance of moving out of state..
Sagging headliner.. Its a problem on almost all of them.. Still a con
Dirty leather.. Thanks to leatherique I fear no leather issues.. I turned some cracked nightmare seats on my older BMW into brand new.
Random ABS lights.. Fault codes are unknown and searching doesn't help(115/135 fault codes). They self clear upon restarting the car I noticed a pedal buzz/click when it happened(i triggered it by low range/hill decent).
Some paint peel on the hood... about an square inch and could easily be touched up.

Asking price is 4300 with wiggle room.. I'm thinking 3,500.

Exhaust stuff isn't all that much money. I just ebayed magnaflow everything for less than a grand. Random abs lights could be a battery/alternator issue, if I have read correctly.

If it's that dark blue.. oh man that is a nice blue when waxed properly.

I'd probably just run the piping to extend the muffler or exhaust out the back where it belongs. If I move then a new cat and I assume the O2 sensors replaced/relocated(not even sure they are they but no CEL).

Having the battery tested seems a very simple first step. This one may be mine by weeks end.
IMO the Blue looks great

I love that blue. I would have preferred either that blue or chawton white. I hate silver.
