Default Hit a mileage milestone!

Hello all.
My '00 D2 turned 300,000 miles today. Picture shows 300007 as I couldn't stop at exactly 300,000 to take a photo. Daily driver, (was out running errands when it turned). It has almost 2 years on a new AB long block.
It has a rebuilt rear Dif, new paint on the hood due to a ****** block sailing through the windshield about 10 years ago. I'm owner #4 and have had it since August of '08. 145,000 miles of it are mine.

Just wanted to share!

Congrats! Good lucking truck. I had one very similar I was aiming for 300k on when it was totaled at 267 (original engine, only HG).

Thanks, Extinct. Of course it has the your inline thermostat. Wonderful product.

BTW, I am told that most Discos have a side door bumper strip, black, down the side. I've never removed anything like that, and I don't believe the POs did either.

Just curious

neither of my 99s have the bumper strip and no evidence of them ever having it either. Thank goodness, I much prefer the look without them, same goes for the flares.

I had a 2000 with the bumper strip, I liked the way it looked personally. Went and looked at a red truck yesterday with one. Semi-rare I guess

The black strip you're referring to started in 2001 and continued up to 2004. Prior D2 (in North America at least) did not have it.
The picture that Extinct posted above is actually a factory accessory, called the Body Side Molding (or Moulding) part number STC50201. There was another version with a chrome strip down the center (I think the description stated "Bright Insert"), but don't remember the part number.

Had those side mouldings on my both d2's, and have removed both to give a cleaner look.
2003 (rgeistered dec 02) Germany import and the 2004 US import..
Also removed the stock plastic worn fender flares (and the ´03 got +50mm flares instead).

Congrats on the milestone. And a very nice looking Disco as well.

Also good to see a Hoosier! I grew up in Parke County Indiana and have family all around you in Brownburg, Noblesville, Danville and Greencastle.

Congrats! I’m at 184k in the HSE and I’ll find out in a couple weeks if it still lives after sitting for a year in storage.
