Default HK Sound System Question

I just finished replacing my factory HK system speakers with 2 sets of Alpine-R 6.5 component speakers. I eliminated the midrange speaker in the front doors and placed the tweeter in the A-pilar and woofer in the door. The rear doors were swapped out with the new alpines.

I noticed that when i powered on everything the front door speakers sound different than the rear doors. The rears sound crisp and full range of sounds. The front door speakers dont sound the same and the rear, more lows and highs. But overall the replacement speakers sound great and well balanced

Is it normal for the front door speakers to sound different? i double checked all the connections and all were good. Polarity matches.

I was thinking that the HK amp must have some sort of internal crossover

Any thoughts?

You eliminated the mid-range speakers.

All the speakers in the car are band-passed if I recall, so by removing the speakers you've eliminated that band.
