Default HK speaker replacement options

I've got rattles from my 10 year old speakers. For the 6.5" in the doors, I've found:

They're cheap, but so are the HK premium speakers. Just looking for decent sound, and anything will be better than shredded cone surrounds.

What size are the mids in the doors, they appear to be 2.5"-3", what fits in the stock hole/grill? Something from here?:

Thanks in advance!

I think HK are pretty good for factory speakers, bmw uses them for upgraded sound system packages.

if you ever solve this mystery let me know.. i have been working on it and debating it. the width is not the problem its the depth and width of the magnets thats a problem.. not to mention they are all components.

anybody know what the ohm load is for our 6.5" speakers? It turns out that HK has some high ohm load speakers (over 8 ohms) and if we have those we can't use aftermarket speakers. If we do they won't sound right and they can damage the amp.

4 ohm, the rear subs are 4ohm dual voice coil so net 2ohms.

Btw, 8 ohm speakers are not hard to get. most home audio drivers are 8ohm.

thats cool, I can get some aftermarket speakers then. I think over 8 ohm are the HK you have to buy factory...evidently HK makes some speakers as high as 16 ohm.
