Default Holy Howling Rover.

Alright, coldest temps of year in Ontario and I just finished doing a water pump replacement in the drive, sucked! Everything fine except one thing. I replaced pump, fan clutch, fan, serpentine belt, thermostat. The issue I am having is with the fan clutch, it doesn't want to disengage. It sound like a semi roaring down the highway or a jet ready for take off. I tried to stop with newspaper after it had been for a short drive and it riped it to shreds. I do not thing it is possible to install wrong as everything is fit one way only clutch can only screw into fan one way. The fan speeds up on acceleration, whether in drive or neutral or park.I am lost, is it just due to the extremely cold temps? My old one never made this noise. ty for any help , happy VD!

I'd put the old one back in and send back the new one.

the only prob was that the old one was part of the water pump failure, everything was wobbling and unbalanced so I don't thing it would do the new pump any good.

I read a couple posts about heavier duty fan clutches doing something similar, do you think it is supposed to work this was or not, I am at a loss.
