Default Hope I知 in the right place

I saw a post in the D1 section a while back talking about D1 prices going up and I am looking at a 2001 D2. Do y誕ll think the D 2 skies are also going up? As much as D1? More? Or is the D1 guy nuts? Also what are 2001 going for with 140k? I can post options and more info if I知 in the right spot. I am sorry if not. I can move it.

This has been discussed ad nauseum. 2001 D2 w 140k probably $3-5k range. Who knows really whatever someone is willing to pay. Your 1998 D1 with 85k miles is worth more if it’s in good condition. Condition is everything. I’ve said it before, D2’s are not going to be collectors items. Maybe a limited run Kalahari or Westminster with low miles...still $10-12k today. Could that be more years from now, maybe. They are worth what someone is willing to pay. I’ll say this, if it’s rusted out it isn’t worth spit.

the market seems to be very geographically dependent, as well. i see trucks in Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Virginia that sell much cheaper than they do here in Saint Louis. of course, maybe Saint Louis just has inflated prices for these things.

but i have noticed that even on the local Craiglist D2's are going for more than what i'm seeing on the east coast and even the southwest.

and like Stillruns said, i think the D1 will always be worth more, generally, than the D2's.

Default 1 versus 2

My D1 is Woodcote Green which some love some don稚, it has 85k on it and is in great shape. It sat in the Original knees garage til 6 months ago when the brakes locked up and he asked me to haul it off. Master cylinder and new pads and it痴 my daily but I don稚 want to put so many miles on it. So I found a 01 D2 female owned 140k new tires little lift, head gaskets and thermostat, water pump and fan and fan clutch done and radiator flushed, it has some racks and light and stuff I don稚 care about. 7500

I like D1’s but I like D2’s more. People said the D1 was never gonna be worth anything and that RRC & D90’s were the LR’s that sold for $$$$, then 10 years later good clean D1’s with clean bodies, interior, exterior, and everything working are $$$$.

I personally owned a 98 LSE in Woodcote Green with the optional 50th Anniversary Edition Package (different interior color, special wheels, floor mats) and I paid 3k for it 5 years ago. Fixed up a few small things & sold it for nearly 6k. I miss that flawless D1, but I prefer D2’s as they’re more refined in a lot of area’s, and you can currently find em in pick n pull yards to grab parts off of CHEAP. Will that last forever? Nope, soon the D2 will join the RRC/D90/D1 vs the LR3/LR4/RRS which is nothing like a solid axle LR.

It depends on the supply/demand, but in my neck of woods clean 99-04 D2’s go anywhere from 5.5k to nearly 20k...

Kalahari, Trek, G4, LE, and Westminster models were of coarse rare & will fetch more $$$$. I’m not like most people I don’t buy a vehicle to think how much can I make by fixing it & selling it/flipping it. I buy LR’s to enjoy them & to drive something unique vs all the IFS Jellybean SUV’s out there today!! When I look back on all my 4x4’s I’ve owned = all classic’s now. The oldest D2’s are right at 19 years old and good solid clean examples are extremely rare!
