Default hoses

I need to change 2 hoses, is it better to change all of them at the same time or just the 2 leaking?

mileage and year would help answer this, but wouldn't hurt anything, and if you bought this truck used, you know they are all new.

It will help you sleep better....

If you are getting close to 100,000 miles, yes, replace them all, especially if it is a D2 with the old bleed screw molded into the upper radiator hose instead of the new black plastic tee.
Also replace your t/stat at the same time.
Atlantic British is a go place to buy.

Disco Mike,

You had mentioned on an earlier post that the new black plastic tee on the upper radiator hose is a fairly new concept, I believe you said it was only 4 years ago that LR came out with it. Mine is a 2001 and has the black plastic tee, does that mean my upper radiator hose was possibly replaced within the last 4 years? I do not have the service history from the previous owners.

If the bleed screw is in the middle of the radiator cover it is the original version. If the bleed screw is off and to the passenger side a little it is the updated version.

Disco2Guy,

Thanks so much...I feel like I'm doing a "CSI" on my Rover trying to figure all what has been done with it in the past.

Do you mean the middle of the top radiator hose or the actual cover? My tee is a little off to the passenger side almost parallel (not quite) with the yellow oil fill tube and in front of the alternator. The tee is not molded, but held with clamps.

Thanks for helping me figure this out.

If the bleed screw is molded into the hose, it is the old style and should be replaced.

thanks. It is a 2001 with 62000 miles.
Are any of the hoses hard to get to? I haven't checked the Rave CD yet.

Why check RAVE when you can open the hood and see for yourself?
You should replace ALL coolant lines every 5 years and flush your coolant every 2 years.
