Guys, I did a search but couldn't find a related topic on this.
Do you know how to clear an SLS warning light? I've installed springs and removed the ol' air bags and now want to clear the warning light.
Can this be done via ODB? Or is this a dealer job?
Thanks all

I have recently replaced my bags with springs. You need to find someone with the correct scanner to have the slab unit reprogrammed from bags to coils. If you dont do this the ride height sensors will tell the compressor to come on all the time. You should pull the SLS relay in the engine compartment fuse box to avoid battery drain. To avoid the over 20 mph chime that the additional 2 inches of lift will cause, disconnect the ride height sensors. This will allow you to operate normally until you can have the reprogramming done.
Thanks for the reply. Definitely did yank the relay, so I don't hear the whirring of the compressor (I do miss that sound btw). It sounds like a dealer job then. I wonder how much they'll charge for that gem of a job...

It was exactly what I did! At least the battery is not discharged more!Originally Posted by jeffo

some indie LR shops may have an SLS reader as well. my local guy does and he didnt charge me a dime. (thats cuz i throw him business though)
I called Atlantic British and they've got a list of indie folks with the right stuff. They connected me with a shop about 12 miles or so from my house. Went to see them, 10 minutes or less of programming and $20 got everything squared away.
