How do you get 1/2" square fill plug out of the
swivel ball housing? I have used PB Blaster and a 1/2" wrench won't break it lose. I have checked a few auto parts stores for a 1/2" square socket and found none.
You will probably need a 1/2" breaker bar, at least 2 feet long.
I take mine of with my 1/2" socket wrench and a 2 or 3" extension and a lot of grunting.
Make sure to check the magnetic drain plugs for things other then the usual magnetic mud, like little chunks.

Get an 1/2" drive 8pt socket at Sears.
An 18" breaker bar should be more than enough unless it was installed by an idiot.
When you put it back in, use a drive handle no more than 8" long, or hold your breaker bar 8" from the socket so you don't over tighten it.
