Default How do you increase the life of the 4.6 v8?

So what I have been reading is decrease coolant and oil temps, increase oil pressure, maybe install oil and tranny radiators. Anyone else got tips on what to do? I have read that people have achieved 177 constant in their coolant temps with 40 PSI of oil pressure all at idle.

well if you found a site that can tell you how to keep a constant 177 temp and get you 40 psi oil pressure at idle and operating temp, i would like to know that too. What site was that?

get an oil cooler off a 99-02 disco

How hard is it to install a oil cooler? Is it plug and play or fab metalwork?

In his newer videos he is trying to run a HHO setup, or actually works too.

It's plug and play. Get an 03-04 trans cooler and 99-02 oil cooler lines for best results. The fittings are all the same and it fits in the space fine, but the 03-04 trans cooler was the biggest cooler put in any of these trucks.

how interesting:
1. its an 03 he got at 50K, in the VIN range, so the engine had mostly been changed out under warranty.
2. the truck is cold because its still in open loop untill the end.
3. cold would explain 40 psi, it you listen he say he has seen at 12-15 psi.
3. he put 100k and he hasn't even put brake pads in it. then that a 100k on an closed track somewhere.

Me! 183.2 is normal operating temp. Spikes to 188.6 at idle then drops back down to 183.2ish. 180 inline stat mod w/ 1/8th hole drilled. The motor has zero issues entering closed loop.
