I use a 1/2" breaker bar with a 3" extension to clear the ebrake cable, I didn't know you could fit in there without it. My Tcase was serviced at the dealership before I bought it, when I went to swap the fluid there was a thread sealer on it, maybe you have some on yours.

Mine doesn't budge either. I tried the extension and a breaker bar but the e-brake drum is in the way.

Some times people put thread locker on it and it can be problematic.

I recommend elbow grease.

Thanks for this great tip that is perfect when you need to apply lots of torque, for example if your plug has never been removed before. Mine has been removed and replaced with a minimal amount of thread sealant, so all I need is this little tool I have : A piece of 1/2" square stock about one inch long, and a 1/2" open end wrench.Works great too!

go from the rear up and over the cross member use a 12 inch extension with a universal on the end, it will go right up and over

Had some trouble with this at first, but got it on my second try. Two things helped me.

1. I used a 3/8-1/2 drive adapter by itself in the plug. By doing this, I was able to use my fingers and guide that piece into the fill plug and make sure to seat it really well into the fill plug.

2. Then I used a 3" extension. I attached the 3" extension to the drive adapter (that I had already got in the plug firmly). At this point I now had an easy to reach point to attach my breaker bar to.

So, the setup I had was fill plug-> 1/2-3/8 adapter -> 3/8 drive, 3" extension -> breaker bar (breaker bar is 1/2 drive so I had another 1/2-3/8 adapter here as well).

Even thought this gave me access to it, the fill plug was still in REALLY tight. Had to use a 20" breaker bar and a pretty legit amount of elbow grease.
