The title says how too, but it covers basicly every aspect of it.
Good video, except one thing. Never put your transmission in neutral going down a hill. If something prevents you from being able to shift again you're very much hosed.

You are the one who isn't listening/reading.
The original engine braking comment was what you should do if your brakes fail (assuming one is stupid enough to drive with no/weak brakes).
However, you should always use engine braking when descending mountains.

That was no elk; it is a moose, but Volvo Corp. wouldn't have a clue about that!

To the original poster.... if you are looking for ACE and 7 seater....

How about looking for a HSE model which comes with the ACE.... and then add the rear 3rd row seats? It would be easier to find a SE or HSE with ACE.

I was looking for months for a SE7 or HSE7 in good condition. I ended up buying a 2003 SE. I am currently adding the rear seats, seat belts and trim from parts which I procured from a salvage yard. Total cost was $200 for the seats + $350 for the rest of the anchor parts, headrests, seat belts and trim. This would be a cheaper and easier modification than retrofitting ACE .

A wise suggestion.

You won't have rear ac or radio controls but that will be about the only difference.

I ended up getting an HSE7 with no ACE. Adding it sounds doable in the future since it appears to be just bolt-ons and computer settings. I looked for months for ones with ACE in my area and came up completely dry.
