How to install XYZ switch??
I recently did the fix that is posted on the Australian Rovers page about rebuilding the Neutral Safety Switch that went bad.. After doing the fix and re-installing it, the truck will not start so either put it back together too tightly where it's not moving properly or i have lined up something incorrectly so that it will not engage the starter in park or in neutral..
Is there a process or a set way to line up the parts and re-install it??
Thanks for any help

There are 3 different types of xyz switches internally. They all look exactly the same externally but the later ones have an improved track inside.
This subject has been posted by me on 2-3 separate occasions with the repair sequence and reinstallation if you do a search on this forum.
Good luck
I did a write-up on the topic a while back on this or one of the other Rover forums but I can't find it right now. I'll keep looking for it but in the meantime are you looking at the RAVE illustration? Start by lining up the hole into which the tool in the RAVE illustration is inserted to be perpendicular to the flats on the selector shaft.
Where in Charlotte are you? Having replaced my XYZ switch twice I've developed more expertise than I ever wanted to and I might be able to help you out in person. I'm in far South Charlotte.

That would be great if you had a spare chance to show me the ropes of the XYZ installation!!
