I've actually only owned mine for a few weeks but bought it with 199k miles.
Its rolled over 200k now and no issues of note.

The previous owner took care of head gaskets, front cover and all sorts of things during the 6 years he had it so I'm sure that accounts for my experience thus far.

Al has 238k miles, three sets of hg. Jackie has 234k miles, getting her third set of hg next week. Thomas has 170k miles, two sets of hg.

 

 

02 Kalahari = 235,000 miles normal routine maintenance, one set of HG's done around 168,000 miles
99 D2 110,000 miles normal routine maintenance one set of HG's at 80K due to an upper intake gasket leak
04 D2, 113,000 miles on original HG's but it does seep externally until it warms up so it needs them done

 

My highest is a 2002 SE, 200,000 miles and one head gasket at 190,000.
