How much oil burning is too much?

New head gaskets and the exchanged heads had little or no effect on the amount of oil I have to add... which is about half a quart per 1000 miles.

Unless its blowing blue smoke out the tailpipe as you drive its fine.
I go though 1 qt every 2 weeks, no matter how far I drive.
