Default HOW MUCH SEA FOAM IS TOO MUCH

I am going to go with the reco'd Sea Foam Treatment. Is it ok to use a Can in the gas tank, a can in the oil fill and a can in the vacuum intake? I have reviewed the past posts and many are different. I would like to get anyones opinion especially DiscoMikes.

Thanks,

Chris

Don't waist your money with the can in the engine oil, for best results there do an ATF flush, you will get a much better results with alot cleaner engine. Also, don't forget to clean you t/body and idle control while you are weighting for the SeaFoam to work.

I'm planning to do the Seafoam induction cleaning tomorow.

Here's a link to a detailed description of the Seafoam procedure.http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showth...hlight=seafoam

I've also seen many how to videos on Youtube...

I just did the seafoam treatment myself and I've thought up all sorts of questions. What is actually causing the white smoke - the carbon build-up burning offor the seafoam itself burning off after sitting in there? If it is the carbon burning off, what happens to any large particulate matter? Is it clogging up my cat? If I continue to do this treatment, will I eventually get no smoke at all when I inject it, after say half a dozen treatments? Is seafoam any different than any other injection cleaner? Why do they call it seafoam?

These are things that seem to keep me up at night. I can say that I do think my engines run a bit smoother afterwards.

WOW......just finished the Sea Foam treatment. I did it for preventative measures and the irritating slight tick is gone. This might have saved me a couple of grand. Thanks for everyones help. I am sure I didn't do anything for the environment but I do drive a Discovery so I guess it is a mute point. thanks again for the forum! You aren't kidding about the white smoke either....I think I might have made the neighbors kinda scared as they were enjoying their BBQ's this evening!

The smoke is more from the Seafoam burning off, but does include all the carbon. I there are large pieces of carbon, they are pulverized by the piston prior to going thru the exhaust so there is no damage to the exhaust system
