Default How much work to convert from coils to SLS?

I have coils on the 2002 and SLS (rear air suspension) on the 2004, and man... I know SLS gets a lot of shade thrown at it on here, but I really like it. It's not only useful and works well, but no matter how much stuff I put in the rear, I don't have to worry about sag. I have two spare air bags in the back in case it ever goes out on a road trip, and they couldn't be easier to swap. Anyway, just wondering what it looks like to take the 2002, that never had SLS, and put it in.

Shopping list would be... the compressor, the airbags, hoses, dash switch... what else? I'd use the nanocom to program it... I guess harvesting off a donor disco is easiest. Dang... wish I had the foresight to do this last spring when a 2002 with SLS showed up at the junkyard.

I'm working on converting my truck back to SLS as the previous owner changed over to Springs.

It's been a small pain to get a compressor as I was looking for a used one. New ones aren't cheap, plus you need the box it mounts in (everyone that has a used one seems to have tossed the top cover for some reason). Luckily the owner of my previous G4 truck agreed to give me the compressor from the truck since it's no longer in use after I changed it over to Springs some years ago.

You'll need the lines (got mine from LRdirect in the UK since my current ones had been cut), the height sensors, SLABS and wiring harness (not sure if that's already there), Air Bags plus locking clips, Compressor Filter/Air Intake (goes behind drivers side rear brake light), and Dash Button.

I think that's it but I could be forgetting something. I would imagine it would be harder to change a truck over to SLS that never had it before.

You can find most of the parts in the parts manual here: ??????? ???????? ?????? Landrover

You don't need a new SLABS if you have access to a device that can program the one that's already in the truck. Luckily, a forum member offers a Nanocom rental service and that will do the job.

The bigger issue is going to be the wiring. I have not checked on any of my non-sls trucks but i am guessing the wire harness and connectors are not there for the height sensors nor compressor.
