Ok, I got my my new used rearview mirror today and when I removed the old mirror I had my wires hanging from it. Question is, how do I disconnect the wires from the old unit? There seems to be no connector and looks like its hardwired straight in??? Is the connector end located up in the headliner??? Thanks.

 

Mine appeared to be hardwired too when I replaced it a couple of years ago. I just made sure I got the plug from the donor truck when I got a replacement mirror, then spliced the wires. The wire colors are different on the '99 DII vs. at least some of the later years. There is a cross-reference post on one of the forums. I think it was DWeb.
