Hi Folks,

My Disco II developed a 'leak' in the auto dimming rear view mirror. The Stealer wanted $400 to repair it. Luckily, somebody told me that the Magna Donnely company that makes the mirror would send a replacement for free. Sure enough they did (what great customer service!).

So now I have the mirror, but no instruction as to how to replace it. Any idea how the current mirror is attached? Pull down? Push up? Do I need to unscrew all the stuff across the front of the roof to get the electrical wire out and the new one connected?

Any help anyone could lend would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Workshop manual Dixo II says push / slide the whole mirror assembly downwards from something that looks glued to the windshield. Do this carefully. I got this from a german manual.
