Default How to replace your ignition coils and wires with photos!

Here I wrote an article on how to remove the ignition wires and coils with pics, and step by step so you can't mess it up.

here is the link: Land Rover Help!: Land Rover Discovery 2 Ignition Wires, Coils and Spark plug replacement (How to)

Nice work! Hopefully this will make people more confident on replacing their ignition wires the EASY way, the way you have shown. Removing the upper intake isn't hard and there is no reason to spend 4 hours trying to work around it

I've added it to the how to section in the stickies at the top of the D2 page.

Job well done!

After reading your article I know I'm not skilled enough to attempt this fix. CaribbeanRovers is charging me $200 for the install. I think $200 is a fair price to have my check engine light go far far away!

I had to remove the intake manifold to replace valve cover gaskets recently and I disassembled according to the RAVE, however I never had to remove the idler air valve. Did you do this for easier access?

Getting the coil pack bracket off was the hardest part of the whole job, that alone made it difficult.

Daxter- Nice write up! One question for you. Why did you remove your compressor? I replaced my coils and did not have to do that.
