Default "How-to" for replacing rear hubs?

Does anyone know if there's a guide for replacing the rear hubs and brakes on an 04 Disco? They are leaking grease and ruined my rear brakes.

I tried a search but "HUB" is too short for the search engine.

Save your self $800 in new hubs and send me your phone number, I'll walk you thru what you need to do for around $40.

WTF Mike? You're a piece of work.
You **** and moan because you are so busy as an admin or mod on forums, but haven't the sense to put 2 + 2 together and understand if you made the information public it would take a lot less of your time.
Of course, just posting the information here wouldn't feed your ego like the phone calls do, so I guess we can all see why you do it.

Tom, you do things one way and I another, if you don't like it, I don't really care.
From what I have seen from you, you give good feed back, but I like to ask questions and get more information that a phone call will give me.
Bottom line I help a lot more people then you ever have and it is not to feed my ego. If you were disabled and unable to get out much you might find this is a good way for me to help others.

First Mike, you have no clue how many people I've helped with Land Rovers in the 36 years I've been working on them.
Secondly, since the number of people you help is obviously important to you (illustrated by your "I've helped more than you, nyah nyah" post) spend the time posting the information so all DII owners can see it, instead of playing the sympathy card.

I really don't care if you like playing the information close, because nothing you've ever posted "email me" about has been something I didn't already know, aside from a few DII specifics which I don't care much about. But I'm sure a lot of other DII owners would like the information, maybe even to save for the day they need it.

I think before he start replacing parts, like a hub, that he verify what exactly is leaking, the grease from the sealed hub, the o-ring behind the hub that keeps the gear oil from leaking and or is his vent tube plugged causing back . That is why I wanted to talk to him to see what exactly is going on cause it is not real common to see both hubs start leaking at the same time.

Hey Mike,
I had some engine work done, and the shop told me it was the sealed hub assembly and not the O-ring. I'm plenty capable of replacing the hubs, so I wasn't planning on taking it to them, but I would love to know what to check for, and possibly save myself some headache. I've been driving around on them for a month now though since I thought they were shot and they already messed all over the brakes. I'll shoot you a pm with my phone number, thanks.

Hubs are easy to replace. Follow urban panzer's how to for the front hub. Rear hub is pretty much the same except with an oring instead of an oil seal. Hardest part is removing the axle nut and retorquing it to 360 lbs. Also a 3 legged puller is the best I've found to remove the hub from the axle.
