How to separate sticky electrical connectors
After many years of service, it seems that the electrical connectors are "microwelded" together with a crust that forms over time. Is there a safe way to spray something on these connectors to loosen them up?? WD40?? Contact spray?? Nothing would suck more than a connector falling apart when trying to disconnect it.
Just make sure the connector has or not a locking lever that needs to be pressed/released to separate. If the connector really bites the contacts hard, that is the difference from decades ago and modern reliable connections.
