How To: Wire Blinkers To Be Running Lights/Parking Lamp
Not sure what you call them. I love these lights though on every other vehicle. I hated it when I ran infront of my truck to see the parking lights only to see there was a stupid dead battery looking headlight.
I don't do write ups. And it took me 15mins to go outside come up with a plan and finish.
Needed:
Drill
Drill Bit [Get size in the morning]
Small Flat File [dermal?]
18 [I think] gauge wire
Wire connectors.
Step One:
Remove Headlight And Turn Signals, Unplugging all three wires.
Step Two:
Twist bottom bulb off of headlight
Step Three:
Make a copy of the hole with some paper and a pencil. Looks perfect in person.
Step Four: Mark Holes in the lower part of the turn signals. Make them somewhat even, though perfection isn't nessisary.
Step Five: Drill Holes in Turn Signals.

Step Six: File the side slots into the hole. Checking fit often. You want it tight. Mine is held in perfectly without any extra assistance.

A silicone bead may be preferred but mine seems to seal perfectly.
Step Seven:
Cut and extend the old dead battery lamp wire into the turn signal Section. Leave a little extra wire.
Step Eight: plug in the new lamp and check that the connections work.
Step Nine: Seal hole in back of headlight.. Tape? And reinstall the headlight.

Go to bed because its 2:00 in the morning. Ill clean things up here tomorrow.

YOu can also order the sockets from a P38 and use a double filament bulb... Just wire them in and there you go. You still retain the headlamp city lights and add the parking lights.. no cutting or chance of water intrusion.
Good job on the ingenuity, though. Always nice to have options!
