Rover V8 Engines for Range Rover, Discovery and Defender, remanufactured and new options available
if my math is correct it looks like they are doing what we would call a 4.6 long block for just over $4100.
and complete 4.0 for $3600 outright.
those are great price for someone with their reputation

The 4.0 is low compression (8:12:1 low compression). I believe the 4.0's that are in the NAS DII is 9:35:1.
I wonder what the HP & torque increases are for the Gasflowed performance heads & H180 Sports Torque Kent camshaft (~$680)
You need to provide a front cover for their engine.

this is the part that really catches the eye to me. With the failure rate of the blocks we are seeing the 3 year warranty on the block casting is really nice.
"*Heavy duty Ductile iron flanged linered blocks (top hat flanged liners) - Ductile iron is an extremely heavy duty material which is used in high performance race engines including top fuel dragsters. This extremely robust material offers significantly higher strength in the critical flange area of the liner. Our design is unique in that it also incorporates a seal at the bottom of the liner. This type of liner is manufactured exclusively by Darton Sleeves for Turner Engineering and is not available elsewhere. Our confidence is such in this product line that we offer a three year warranty on the block casting."
Not as much fun though Dusty. How is the tranny?

excuse my ignorance, but wouldn't the lower compression also, (all things being equal), increase reliability/durability?
I would sacrifice performance for a lower operating cost and better reliability!

if I had a bad 4.6 I wont think twice about throwing in a new 4.0 for $3600 out right, no core.
they do a front cover and oil pump for another $300 approx.
so your at $4k + shipping HAS to be cheap than the $8-10k price from cannibal installed
"I would sacrifice performance for a lower operating cost and better reliability! " x2
