The hunt is on for an SD roof rack
Here's one in CT for $750. Cargo rack for land rover
It has been listed for a couple of weeks. One of the rails is slightly bent. You can see it in one of the photos.

Funny.
Im not worried about a bend, still much cheaper than a brand new SD rack. Still cheaper than a new Baja rack. I know it will need to be powder coated though but Ill do whatever it takes. I desperately need a roof rack for the NH to AK trek in April. Even with the rack storage will be very tight. Im gonna need 5 jerry gas cans, one more full size spare, weather proof chest, all my tools, clothing, food and everything else involved in a move.... think its safe to say I need the rack more than some people on here ^^

Your sale is safe. Dude just emailed saying its "sold to be picked up this week"
Not trying to cause a fight with anyone on the forum of course, Im just desperate to get this rack. Thanks for understanding and good luck with your hunt to find one! Ill keep my eyes open for anymore racks that appear on cl and share them on the forum.
Good luck. Good find.
The hunt for a high profile SD roof rack is over and I now present the latest addition to my truck. No I did not pay $750, the first time I contacted the seller over the phone I asked him straight up if he would take $100 off the asking price because of the bend in the rack and he said yes. I swore up and down that I was serious about buying it and offered to send him partial payment via paypal just to secure the rack for me, but he said nah, but would just hold it for me. So I paid $650 for the rack, mounting hardware and that included 3 guys helping to lift the rack into position on my truck.
Was a long *** drive starting in Somersworth NH to Norwalk CT to pick up the rack, then to Braintree MA to meet up with a fellow member to get my amigos cleared and finally back home was a total of about 500 miles and roughly 8.5 hours of driving.

04duxlr was both very kind and even more patient with me. We agreed to meet up so he could use his amigo scan tool to check and clear my amigos, but being a Friday the traffic congestion in MA and CT was terrible and I got delayed over an hour, not to mention the 2.5 hours it took me to get up to him, he waited the entire time just to do a quick scan/clear! Thanks so much man. What a guy!
