The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Yes the DI is smaller than a DII, by 12" in length and 6" in width.
Same wheel base (100"), but the track is wider and the body is longer on the DII.

 

And remember that the truck in that video has street tires and is still 100% stock.

 

Impressive video for a stocker with 29s but that is not what we will be using it for. That said, it is good to know that it is that capable.

This said, buying the Disco is really less about pragmatism and more about doing something to make me happy. If I have to drop in a new motor, that would be fun too
