so, only 1 out of my 4 windows work that being the front passenger. I bought a window motor and i go to install today and I cant even find my old one. I also found an electrical plug for somthing not plugged in, any ideas? Where is the motor? and what else do I take off to get to the motor?

 

that thing in your left hand in the middle two pictures looks a lot like a window motor to me... you do however appear to be missing your window regulator... the window regulator is the part that that the window actually rides up and down on...

 

yea, the window motor in my hand is the new i got, so you're tellingme i donteven have thewinow regulator at all which means i have no motor?

 

That white thing is probably holding your window up.

Also try ebay. It is common for the Discovery regulators to go bad so a used one might almost be no shot.

wtf... lol... why is my window regulator missing do you think? any ideas, so if the regulator isnt there, then the motor isnt there too, right? also, what is that plug?

 

How long have you owned the vehicle? Have you not tried the windows before? The motors and regulators are separate pieces so I would safe it is not safe to assume that just because one is missing the other is also. That plug, I'm guessing is the power lead for the motor.

I bet the previous owner had problems with the regulators and took them out, propped the windows up and sold it while it is cold thinking someone wouldn't check the windows in the middle of winter.

 

Ask these questions

A. Has it ever been stolen?

B. Does it have a clear title?

Or ever run the vin with carfax and google the your local police blotter and run the vin with them

if that stuff wasn't removed because it was broken - it resembles a stripped vehicle
