i've thought about taking out my front window regulators and just propping them up like that... especially after last weekend when my drink friend hit the wrong switch and rolled down the window that doesnt go back up due to a bent regulator...

oh and viking... in every used vehicle sale there are always undisclosed issues that the seller may or may not be aware of... yours just happens to suck pretty bad and will end up costing you a pretty good bit to fully repair...

no its not stolen and yes I gotta clean title. It was a dealer trade and i picked it up for cheap. Texas car with NO rust. 1998 Disco with 135k

But you have answered a question weather you no it or knot - its a cheap trade from a DEALER in TEXAS - all that hardware is missing because it was taken out to make room for all the drugs it was running from the southern (or across) border. So now your options are...

A. Ask the local K-9 unit to go over your car to make sure there are no drugs left.

B. Go over it yourself with a fine tooth comb and you might get lucky enough to find enough left over money to pay for all the repairs

C. I hope you never seen the movie No Place For Old Men

Who cares, or knows at this point. Bottom line you are going to be needing parts. Check the rest of your non working windows then go to , http://www.roverlandparts.com/windowsglass.aspx and order the used, guaranteed parts for less money then buying new.
Once done, then you can go have fun with your Disco.

 

I would check for local land rover junkyards too. Have you opened up and checked the others? I know one of the other posters guessed but what is holding the wondows up? I have taken the windows apart on my old Disco I and I don't think the wondows can stay up without the motor unless they have been propped up some other way. However I might be wrong. Its been a couple years. If that is all that is wrong you might still have a good car. Best of luck.
