Both of mine are daily drivers but when we go out during nights or weekends, the 01 gets the love and the 03 sits. Funny you guys are discussing this, my buddy and I both have 01 disco's and we call them in to pick up the slack from the other vehicles breaking down. 2001's where a great year of build...

Mine's an 2003, daily driver. Had it for ~5 years, average about 30 miles a day. To date, it's been awesome and hasn't left me stranded. We use it for long trips, hauling the camper, off-roading, and trips up to the mtns...so it's driven a lot. I love the truck!

daily driver... 32 miles each way to work, about half interstate and half city....plus it is usually what we take on weekends... only take the King Ranch if we are going with other people.. it has waaayyy more room...

Daily driver, ~25 miles round-trip 50/50 hwy/city. It becomes our main vehicle in the winter, so we tack some extra miles on her here and there.
I average ~9k miles/year
The p/o drove ~34k miles/year with it....that is until she ran it down the highway without antifreeze.....

My 04 is my DD now, I commute back and forth to NM (1200 miles R/T) a few times a month, and I am getting ready to drive to Colorado for Christmas (1200 more miles R/T). My wife loved mine so much I gave her my 2000 with 80K as her DD. I have 6 month old so I also feel safe that she is driving this now. Love them and always take one of the Discos when going on road trips. Maintain them and listen to their needs and they will never leave you....stranded. Kind of sounds like a woman. J/K

Mike I drive it hard everyday just wondering if others use it as a daily commute ...the engine is working great so far after I finished the 60k tune up it....
