bought my '99 Disco II last year Sept. and I just went on a two hour road trip that required use of the defroster most of the trip....now my ride leeks like a siv and blows coolant through the pass. side vents. I need to fill it up with coolant every 5 minute car ride. any ideas as to what this could be? heater core? anyone ever replace the heater core if so?

Definitely heater core. Never replaced one in that particular ride though. sorry.

 

whew! I just found out it's covered under my warrenty! what a relief!

 

Boy, did you luck out.
Make sure to have the dealer clean your carpet and carpet pad, allowing them both to dry.
Also, make sure there was no damage done to the wiring inside the dash.

tell me about it Mike! I am taking the Disco to a local shop that does work on Rovers....is this a bad move? or should I take it to the stealership?

As long as your local shop will give you the same 1 year unlimited mileage warranty, will except payment from your service company and they have done heater cores, then go for it, I would.
