I heard a noise while driving slow...
Valid points, however, only cost for me are the parts. Im getting three new u-joints and building them, the centering ball is new so why would I replace it? Its a legitimate question. Im not trying to cheap out either.
Ok so heres what I finally did as I had the time.
Got the two u-joints I bought warrantied along with the centering ball kit plus I bought a third one.
This time I did the work myself, rebuilt the whole thing...and heres what I learned:
If you take your time and follow the proper assembly procedure it is super easy. The whole thing took me about two hours which included the most pain in the *** part of taking out the centering ball (again) so now my front shaft (teehee) is fully greased and is badass!!! No more vibrations and I have four wheel drive again, YAY! WIN!
