I just picked up an 04 Disco ! Key advise needed please
I was wondering if you could send me proof of this purchase.
I reason I ask is because I'm trying to purchase a 2004 with 68,000 miles and the guy won't go past $11,000.
But he has a lowest price deal that if you show cheaper then he will sell for lowest price.
So if you could send me that would be awesome.
Also if you could tell me how to haggle the price down to $9,000 that would be a plus!!!
PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Realritz, if they wont come down then walk away. If they dont want to work with you then screw them, they can sit on the truck for 6 months.
"Well good luck selling a truck that requires premium gas in this economy and with the high gas prices. When you are ready to sell it call me, I am ready to buy. Here is my phone number, if I havent bought another one in the mean time call me and we'll talk. But it boils down to how bad do you wantto sell this thing?" then walk away. And have your check book in your hand when you are talking to the salesman and make sure that he see's it, talk with your hands kinda thing.
There are plenty of LR's out there and if you cannot get one for what you can afford then dont get one.
And remember that markets vary, what Bob paid in Maine is going to be diffreent from what Sam paid in Texas.

I noticed that because I live in Raleigh, NC which is the state capital and a pretty big city. And the places like 50 to 75 miles away are a good 2,000 bucks cheaper.
I actually had some good luck today.
A new rover popped up on cars.com.
It's a 2004 with 58K Dark Gray with Beige Leather.
And guess who is selling it.
THE LAND ROVER DEALER!
Yep the same Land Rover Dealer that is 1.25 miles away from my house.
What luck.
Best part is I called pretending to be someone else and offered him 10,000 final and he said he would take it.
So if I barter I think I could get $9,000.
It's the S model what's the difference between S and SE?

I heard the only difference between the S and the SE.
Is One Sunroof and those two small fog lights.
If so thats awesome because I was going to get some external lights (and a front bumper) and a roof rack.
So both of those things would be useless.

LR's come with two sunroofs. And you are right, the "S" which is the base model wont have the sunroofs.
Just make sure that you do not overpay for the truck. It might be worth it to drive 100 miles to save a couple of grand.

I can save all of you a lot of time. Go to your nearest Lowes, go to the key cutting desk and ask them to copy your key on blank #53. Right off the bat it will unlock the doors ONLY. Take it home and fiddle around with a file or bench grinder just a bit and it will crank the truck too.
