Default I Need Major Help

I have an 03 land rover discoveryII... the truck began missing out on one of our recent trips. I have replaced plugs, plug wires and coil pack and the miss is still there code reader says cylinder four is missing i have spark at the no. 4 plug and no visible oil in the coolant and no visible coolant in the oil WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?!?!?!?! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

If you have ruled out the #4 plug, the #4 wire and the coil then maybe it's the ECU gone bad? What kind of wires did you switch to? Most of us swear by magnecor 8mm.

before you go replacing an expensive ECU test #4 cylinder for compression and and test #4 fuel injector. You should be able to borrow both testers from autozone or advance auto.

does the engine miss all the time or when accelerating? only at idle? any extranious noise when missing like a ticking? smell unburnt fuel?

Only 1 code, or are there more, is it a 304 or something else?
Don't throw any more money at it till we can kick this around a little.

only missing on acceleration... 304 is not the only code it is also reading 1300 and 0300... and there is also a ticking noise but that's a whole other story in itself I am told the ticking is common in these motors is this true? Anyway sounds more like a knock than a tick and when I took it to the shop they replaced rocker shafts lifters and cam and then told me they couldn't fix it!
