Default I need snow tires for my '03 Disco...any ideas?

I need a good deep-tread tire. We live in NE OHIO....we get TONS of snow all winter. Very deep snow here.
My Goodyear Eagle LS P255/55/R18's don't cut it at all, and they're shot anyway.
Also, if I get a good all-season tire, will I need "snow" tires? If I don't get "snow" tires, I will plan on leaving them on all year. So, in the summer, noise will be a factor.
This is not used for off-roading, it's strictly for daily transportation but again, LOTS of snow (and poorly plowed roads in the country)
What's the best suggestion here? I need your help, everyone!

I use Mastercraft Courser MSR 255/55/R18 snow tires year round. They are relatively inexpensive and not that loud and grip like crazy in the winter. You can definitely hear them when compared to the goodyears but it's not that bad. I live in Buffalo btw.

Toyo Open Country A/T.
I had them on my Montero and they are a great all around tire, quiet on road, good off road traction and excellent snow traction.

You can look up snow tires as well as others.
Also look at www.tires.com
And dont forget about www.BelleTire.com, I think they are in OH too.

I disagree.
I run snows on my wires car and good A/T's on my truck.
With deep snow you need the right kind of tire.

I agree that on a Disco a good A/T would be a good compromise.
I run snowmobile trails with my Disco in the winter time and have no problems.
And no, I do not change tires so I can bury my truck in mud.
