icarsoft vs. Autel AL619

I use an Autel Maxidiag MD702 on a 2003 TD5 and it does nearly all functions for diagnose, read and clear. What it cannot do is activate systems, typically the ABS, or reprogram the ECU's. It's OK as a straight diagnostic tool but there are better tools around with more functions for LR's. Being Autel outlet/suppliers are all franchises they are only as good as the franchisee. Although they can diagnose umpteen different makes and vehicles they are expensive for using solely on an LR.

I just got the icarsoft today, to cold to play - numbers out there. But i was able to check and clear the amegio and a knock sensor code in just a few minutes, it did not test it on my SLS . I was surprised that it was open for are land rover and jaguar models right out of the box. And it no bigger than a smart phone.

The link of autel al619 OBD2 scanner has failed, but this itself is not very expensive. You can buy it from the official website or agent.
