Default Buying a OBDII Scanner Tool. Recommendations?

Finally going to buy my own OBDII Scanner Tool. I want one that does it ALL! When I say all I mean ALL. It has to read OBDII, ABS, SRS, access and reprogram/remap ECU/BCU, all control units really. Be able to activate features that werent installed at factory like the heated windscreen. It needs to work on all makes and models, not just Land Rover. Also needs to read manufacturer specific codes. Display Live Data, give code definitions and anything else you can think of. Also it needs to be able to be updated so it doesnt become useless after 10 years or so. If I'm going to invest my money I want there to be nothing left to be disired. I'd like to stay under $500.00 total price. I've been reading on here that some people like the Autel units. Recommendations anyone?

I cannot speak highly enough of the nanocom. I've had hawkeye as well, and I think this was better for D2.

Ditto on the Nanocom.

To the OP: you mentioned needing a scanner/programming tool which will read "all makes and models". For the Nanocom, the price includes the programming software for the Disco.... and you will have to buy an unlock code to install additional modules for your Range Rover (or vice versa).

You won't find a scanner that does it ALL for ALL models. Not even the snap-on stuff will do EVERYTHING.

IMO for domestic regular use and re-programming for a D2 ............. 1) Nanocom or 2) Hawkeye.

Additional licences for other models don't come cheap though.

There are other pro models but they cost big bucks often upwards of $1000 -1500.
