The first ones would be noisy as hell, youi want the curved blades for quiet operation.

those are pretty nice fan designs. i like the first on the best for better coverage. the down side is the amps. 16-28 amps is pretty hefty pull. the second choice would be much quieter, with less amps, and less air movement. I guess i would want to know what the stock fan pulls (cfm's)

I had this thought while I was in thre shower AK, did you have lack of power problems before you bought your new tires?

Yes, the lack of power in the mountains was there before the new tires. When I upgrade to 4.11s in the axles that will help by keeping the engine in its power band more but the electric fans will also increase fuel mileage, at least in theory.

The radiator core dimensions are 27"x15". The first fan with the straight blades would be too large but the smaller one is about .75" too small one way and .5" too large one way. I would think that would fit just fine and 2500 cfm should be more than adequate air flow. Anybody have an opposing opinion? Wrong size, too little airflow, anything else I haven't thought of?

Well at least on the way down you can shift into neutral and get 100 mpg.
