Default Performance Muffler: Ideas?

Hey guys I am looking to replace my muffler due to the fact some component inside has broken or has failed. Whoever owned my 96 Disco I ( with 145k) before me put on what I can guess is a flowmaster; not sure what type; and I have really grown accustomed to the hefty growl. I have magnaflow cats and would like something to complement their sound and performance, but want to avoid the metal clanking sound I am getting at idle with this broken flowmaster if this new one were to fail or break. Any thoughts? Also if anyone knows the inlet/outlet size that would be good to. Thanks.

Clanking sounds like a mount vs a muffler, you need to get under there and figure out what the problem actually is. Lose it on the road and you could kill someone, so don't wait.

I bought the replacment borla exhaust off of atlantic british and I love it. It has a great sound, I do not know the inlet size on that it has a nice looking tip that comes out the back.

The tip is good looking and I get my truck muddy quite often I take it on any road I see that looks to be a good trail. They come with that tip already welded on but you could maybe switch it out if you just didnt want chrome
