Yup, I've personally used the 6203-2RS, so I know for a fact it's correct.

In my interchange list (which I'll publish) I'm trying to indicate if it's a number from someone who has actually used it, or one they read it somewhere, i.e. second hand information, so at least a person can have a certain level of confidence in the information.

I can confirm that the 6203-2RS-12 I ordered from Amazon does NOT fit the small pulley. The inner ring is too big.

I also ordered a 6304-2RS which appears to fit the bigger pulley

I tried to rebuild a D1 idler pulley.
The snap ring was simply a flat ring with pointed ends and no holes.
Could not figure out how to get that off.

car quest has the complete 70mm pulley for 20 bucks, metal and all. I wouldn't waste my time rebuilding the factory one

Yeah, I ran a carquest or similar.
It is still in the Discovery I.

Probably have 40K miles on it now.

What I did not like about the carquest was:

Pulley is stamped out of steel.

Rover pulley from the factory is cast aluminum alloy.

I always go cast over stamped.

Belt Tensioner Pulley - replace the plastic pulley with a steel pulley. Gates P/N 36102.
