Ok, read elsewhere from DiscoMike that anything other than an exact MAF Bosh replacement would not work properly. I plugged the old OEM MAF back in and now my ultraguage reads this:

Size: 109.3 KB

I HAVE ACHEIVED THE GREATEST MPG IN HUMAN HISTORY IN A LAND ROVER!!!

Haha, that was until it went into limp mode, service engine light flashing, barely made it home.

SO, non OEM MAF reads 1.5 MPG, OEM MAF's readings are insane. I just ordered an OEM Bosch replacement overnight, guess we'll see if that fixes it. Only error code left is P1884 after I changed the spark plug on cylinder 3.

OK - the verdict is in, DiscoMike nailed it. When replacing your MAF you MUST only use the OEM Bosch MAF. My original one didn't survive the swim. The $149 replacement from Napa made the CPU haywire. Received and installed a used Factory Bosch and she's back to running like a champ!
