Hey all!

The Disco feels like a squeaky ship riding the open seas. It's time to replace springs/shocks/etc. What all needs to be replaced to make this ride as close to stock and new as possible? So far I have...

- Shocks
- Springs
- Front upper ball joints
- Front lower ball joints

Would that be the bulk of it?

I wouldn’t do ball joints until you need them.
I thjnk shocks and springs is the best combo. Also nice tires are a must for handling and comfort
and allignment

Steering damper will make a pretty big difference too. The TF one is nice. Check your track rod and drag link end bushings too.

Just finished replacing all my control arm bushings. They were rotten and cracked bad. Ball joints suck on Disco's if you don't have a set made specifically for them. Finally caved on a snap on set for it so I don't pull teeth each time. Don't do them unless you need to.

What specialized tools do you need for the control arm bushings?

I've just been using Moog ball joints. Used a snap on ball joint press to get the control arm bushings out. And an air hammer. And a torch. And some beer.
