I have an '04 D2 that needed new keys, I bought the $30 ones that are all over ebay and amazon. Borrowed a Nanocom, went through all the steps and key would not sync or detect. He had just purchased the nanocom in October and was also unsuccessful in programming his keys. We tried 4 different keys, nothing. Scoured the interweb, no one anywhere had a solution until I found one post buried deep in an Australian Land Rover forum...

The Fix: Update your nanocom kernel firmware to the latest version. The latest version has a bug fix for D2 key programming.

nice find. I had same issue with the 'new' keys. Old used keys were never a problem and programmed easily. Will try the update....

 

Thanks, I tried a bunch of fobs from ebay last spring and they all didn't work. I want a bunch of 433MHz fobs get working on a 433Mhz receiver (which I imported from Europe).
