First of all, not sure I'd let the "All lube and tune place" work on your Disco because chances are they don't know the 1st thing about it. Second, they're most likely referring manner in which they have to replace them, which is removing the manifold cover. Not sure if you have secondary air on your truck, but it makeschanging the wireseven more of a pain, which is why I've considered letting a pro do it.

John,
Why are you tuning your truck? It is not ready for a tune up.
Go drive it and stay away from the domestic auto discount repair centers.

Hey!

Thanks for the quick responses, and first, the reason I am doing the tune up right now is because I've been getting intermediate misfires and every so often, I get a shakin'.

Also, no, they got the secondary intake taken off, but the tech was saying that they wouldn't stay in... :/

ok!

they got em' the work!

The service manager called me back that they got em' to fit!

Thank God!

and I choose this place because it's the only reliable car shop around!

They do know how to work on Rovers, and they are extremely nice people. It is a family owned and run place, and they are really taking care of me!

Thanks again for the responses!!

JR,

As long as their willing to correct any problems/warranty their work I always stick to private shops. Congrats on the job getting done. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the labor run?

To put the wires and spark plugs in, it cost around $300.00 because I have the secondary air, so that needed to be removed before changed the wires.

The independent Rover shops charged around $400.00, but there isn't really a close one around.

These people that are working on my truck are extremely nice, and are very willing to guarantee any other there work.

Hopefully that helped!!

Well, if you the SLS light, yes. It's been off since the end of the summer, but all throughout the summer it was giving me codes and the SLS light.

Hopefully that answered your question. The only reason I changed them now is because 1.) i had time, 2.) I'm going to be driving 750 miles this weekend and I wanted to make sure I was good for the road. :]
