Ill just keep re-tightening them up hahaha. and by the way...... ..... now my horn button is broken.... lol gotta love it, all the quirks and the order in which they occur.

What is the condition of the spindle? If it's polished use some grip pliers on it and they'll put vertical 'splines' in the spindle as they have hard jaws Résultats Google Recherche d'images correspondant à http://span-trade.co.uk/images/uploads/jumbo.jpg

Use some Loctite (undoable) thread sealer on the bolt when you tighten it. First make sure there's no grease or oil on the threads, clean them with brake cleaner spray. Who needs a horn anyways, just ram the SOB's if they get in your way. LOL

probably best to get a horn button assembly from a used parts dealer, new is quite pricey

Haha Ive considered Cali before, but I'd rather not become a minority. Also Ive heard all about their BS law regarding catalytic converters. Not to mention the high cost of living and taxes and hurricanes up the ying yang! NO THANKS lol

Next time I need to adjust the wipers Ill check out the splines and add locktit as suggested. Regarding the horn buttons, one button was already broke when I bought the truck. All I need is 1 spring, 1 cooper piece and 2 buttons. Dont think I will even have to remove the horn assembly. But you bet your *** Ill be disconnecting the battery first! Spent 10 minutes in the parkinglot at work the other night trying to put the broken horn button back in and you can imagine how irrated my work mates outside must have been to hear my horn going on every few seconds! LOL A Land Rover thing.

The other day a work mates askes: "whats up with your vehicle, why is it ticking" - my reply: "Dont even ask, its a Land Rover thing"!

I have one of the two horn buttons standing up higher. It'll go pop one day. Re your horn sounding off, I was parked outside the main entrance to a city hospital a few years ago, I went to get into the LR and the remote wouldn't work. So I called the breakdown guy who arrived and said the problem is common where I had parked due to the EMF from the X-ray dept. This is at 01.30 in the morning. He then says he'll move the truck up the road a few hundred yards. He opens the door on the key and off goes the alarm which wouldn't switch off of course - outside a hospital main entrance ...............finally he transported the truck 200 yards up the road and the remote worked fine - local knowledge.....
