Default I'm obviously stupid...secondary air question?

My buddy that helps me work on my discovery is out of town and so am I so I can't ask him but how do I tell if I have secondary air or not? I was going to go ahead and order a used from roverlandparts.com so I didn't have to bother with a failing engine at an inopportune time and am wanting to order the correct engine for my vehicle. My buddy builds racing engines and told me it'd be no problem at all to put it in. I texted him on this issue but it is pretty late and he is either out or in the bed so he hasn't responded. I got my 03 for a good price and I couldn't sell it to someone and screw them over with the bad engine so I'm just going to replace it and hope for the best. Buying a new s5 tuesday so this discovery will not be my daily driver and I hope to keep it for a long time.

I think I can get SOME money out of the old engine (has ~50K on it) even with disclosing the oil problem. Somebody will buy it for the parts. I don't have any codes or whatever and as of now it is in good shape.

So, if I read this right, you wnat/need and a engine and don't know which one. Chance are it is a SAI engine as an 03, but you need to make sure, can they can not be swapped.

I believe the question is, if I'm reading it right, is how do you know for sure if your engine has secondary air injection?
