^^

It will be starting to settle after a few days.

I'd be looking at a tractor off to the side, on the firm stuff.

I think you got that far cos you went at speed. The jeep went slow, prob, so never stood a chance.

Any friendly farmers around?

Well, I've got a buddy that has a jeep an 40" tires, or a samurai rock crawler, we'll figure out which is best to use to get it out.

no kidding- a Samurai rock crawler!? wow, you gotta post some pics of that. x2 on farm/construction machinery that might be in the area. you'd be amazed at what light work a backhoe can make of pulling a truck out of deep water/mud. ask me how I know...

What about putting some truck tire inner tubes underneath it and inflating them?

The best 4x4xfloat. That would be awesome.

If they would inflate far enough to push off the bottom of the big muddy puddle, it would help with a pull. If they didn't puncture blah blah.

I don't think these will help. It sounds like the dirt has been washed out around the tires so the truck is high-centered.

EDIT: There was a link to Amazon with some foldable metal traction aids. Now that I think about it I don't think that's what was meant by a heavy recovery vehicle.
