Default I'm still trying to cheap out on you guys.

I've read in a thread somewhere, and I can't find it again despite my best efforts, that Discovery 1 springs sit a couple inches or so higher than our springs but they're still the same diameter. Has anyone just swapped out their stock Disco 2 springs for a set of stock Disco 1 spings to lift for cheap?

Thanks everyone!

There are some posts where people move their rear springs to the front (or was it the other way?) and put land cruiser springs in the back (or was it the front?)

I've heard of people moving their rears to the front and buying rear springs, the land cruiser springs idea is new to me.

Ah, that's on a D1, so if I'm correct about D1 springs being taller than D2 springs then that would probably be too much lift for other stock pieces. If they're the same height then that might be something to look at.

Or what about diesel defender front springs in the rear? I'm not sure how much taller those sit though. I remember seeing a list of all the different Land Rover spring heights and compression rates, but I can't seem to find it either.

Hmm....I'm eyeballing this now. I have a "rolling" D1 frame with suspension I'm going to nick the springs off of and see if they'll fit the D2.

Will report back sometime.....
