To tell you the truth, it was never my intention to complain about my milage when i started the thread.(although now that you mention it..) I just thought it seemed like an interesting thing to talk about. I'm as sceptical as anyone about these sort of too-good-to-be-true claims but I was hoping somone here might have their hands on some real scientific data. The tesimonials are too polarized to really be all that trustworthy. Does anyone believe the surface tension arguement made in linked articles?

Mythbusters on the discovery channel did a show on Acetone - it didn't help at all.

I found in Ebay that there are a couple of electric turbos that you can turn on and off whenever you can. Those turbos work between 1 to 4 psi, and they say that can add up to 40 or 45 hp and increase gas mileage. I really have no experience with that. Anyone here has tried something like that?

A Turbo on a Discovery eh? I hope the kit includes metal strapping to keep the hood closed tight,you will want to contain those pushrods!

Those are nothing more then Boat Bilge blowers ...Every car magazine has done reports on them they are JUNK there was only one that worked ,It Required 3 car batteries and a $3000 price tag and would only run for 15 seconds
