Did an induction cleaning last night for the first time since owning the rig. It smoked so much that it looked like the movie set of the 1980 film "The Fog". All went well and I ended up with a check engine light. Is this common?

yes you will get a CEL. It will clear on its own or clear the codes if you have a scanner.
