Default Injector rebuild kits

i picked up this rebuild kit for my injectors
Fuel Injector Repair Rebuild Kit B38 O Ring Pintle Cap Lower Ring Retainer | eBay

there are obvious differences from the stock setup and these, i wonder if they will be just fine or will i have to do another kit?

Hi ls1morethanyou, I may be wrong about the V8 injectors but the LR TD5 diesel injectors are all coded to each cylinder via the ECU and the internal electronic actuation is different for each. This only applies if you are changing them or refurbing the internals which requires Test Book or similar to set them up again.

A little more explained here:

Td5 Injector coding - Defender Forum - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum

As I said, it may not apply to the V8 injectors but worth warning you in case.

The pintle cap Is a different style than the stock one on the right. But even that rebuild kit you showed has that style pintle cap cover

if you look at it, it appears to be an improved design. the non corrosive plastic is taking the place of the old style metal o-ring lid.

$9.72 says it will work perfectly...
wait......just found a quarter. so, $9.97.
